Jay Kenyon, Esq.

Mr. Kenyon is a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent Rated attorney and is the firm’s lead attorney for personal injury claims and litigation. Mr. Kenyon founded Yan Kenyon with the goal of helping injured people receive the compensation they are owed.

Mr. Kenyon was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, Kansas in 1994 with a double major in Political Science and Communication Studies. Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Kenyon earned his juris doctorate with Distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1997, where he was a published author and associate editor for the Iowa Law Review.

Immediately after graduating law school in 1997, Mr. Kenyon moved to Las Vegas where he practiced law as an insurance defense attorney for seven years, until he joined a plaintiffs’ firm in 2004 to assist injured victims, which has been his primary field of practice ever since. He also advises several local businesses and boards on issues involving insurance coverage and risk management.

Mr. Kenyon has successfully tried several jury trials involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, animal attacks, and defective products. In addition to these types of cases, his practice includes all aspects of personal injury, including truck accidents, premises liability, wrongful death cases, spinal cord injuries, severe burn injuries, accidents involving children, and negligent security cases. Mr. Kenyon has also been appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court to serve on the attorney panel of arbitrators.

Jay Kenyon received an AV® Preeminent Rating of 4.9 out of 5.0 from Martindale-Hubbell, achieving the rating agency’s highest marks for both competency and ethics.

Mr. Kenyon is a die-hard Nebraska Cornhusker fan, loves The Beatles and AC/DC, and enjoys coffee, all things sci-fi and horror. When not working he also enjoys working on his webcomic Mehmoir.com
